Best Buy opened its first Black Friday sale on Friday, Nov. 6, a three-day event that cuts prices on TVs, laptops, audio gear and other electronics three weeks before the holiday itself.
Black Friday falls on Nov. 27 this year. Best Buy plans a longer main sale from Nov. 19 through Nov. 28, followed by a Cyber Monday sale tied to Nov. 30.
The early markdowns reach deep in places. A Nautica portable Bluetooth speaker is 70% off, the 48-inch version of LG's budget B6 OLED TV is half price, and the Google Nest WiFi Pro 6e is down to $99.99 from $199.99.
Older Apple gear is also discounted. A four-pack of second-generation AirTags sells for $79.99 instead of $99, and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is on sale after Apple launched the Ultra 4 in September.
Memory may be the weak spot. With the industry still setting aside memory for AI models, prices for RAM upgrades have climbed sharply, and kit discounts this season may be modest.
Costco has already released its Black Friday ad. Some promotions are live now, while more pricing rolls out through November on dates listed in the ad, which also marks whether each deal is online-only, warehouse-only or both.
Shoppers need a Costco membership to buy in warehouses or get member pricing online; some items are open to nonmembers for a surcharge. The chain traditionally closes its U.S. warehouses on Thanksgiving Day and reopens on Black Friday.
On Amazon, eight Ring doorbells and security cameras were priced under $100 as of Nov. 5, each at or below previous lows. The Ring Battery Doorbell 2K costs Prime members $39.99, against a typical $99.99, and the Indoor Cam 2K is $24.99, down from $59.99.
The wired Ring Floodlight Cam 2K is $99.99, half its $199.99 list. Buyers who want to rewatch saved clips need a separate Ring Protect subscription.
